Mountain

I imagine myself climbing up the Mountain, step by rocky step, rising with the rugged terrain, then suddenly I’m enveloped within the thick cloud that caps the peak. Amazed, I delight in the brilliant reflection of my Lord’s glory against the puffy moist interior of the blanket of mist. I sit, unhurried, resting, soaking in the awesome Presence, waiting to hear His voice, patiently open and nearly relaxed, unsure of what He will say but ready to receive and respond gladly…not demanding, simply available to serve as He wills. “Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening, with patience, readiness, and hope.” My words are few, but my heart worships, praises, and rests in the amazing atmosphere of power, authority, truth, and grace. I could spend eternity here. I will when He calls me Home. Until then, I am at His service, in His time, place, and way. I descend in delightful obedience, refreshed and renewed for life, in the foothills of the Mountain. Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
