Hope for Fear to Trust

Where’s the offramp from distrust and anxiety? We need an exit because suffering rejection, abuse, hurt, and disappointment leads to a fear to trust others, which leads to unsuccessfully laboring to control circumstances and people, which leads to increased anxiety, which carries with it intense physical, emotional, and spiritual affliction.

We dream of a life of calm, contentment, confidence, health, peace, joy, and courage. That sounds impossible, especially to those who struggle with the fear to trust others. Yet there’s a way toward that heavenly vision. Jesus invites us to handover all our cares completely (not half-heartedly) to Him, and He goes to work on our behalf, employing His love, power, and perfect wisdom. We grow increasingly close to Jesus with time and we learn increasingly that we can trust Him above all else.
